Write on Art
2025 Winners
In 2025 the Write on Art competition format changed, with two new writing categories added. Young people can now choose to submit a piece of creative writing or a review as alternative options to the existing essay category.
The Write on Art judges selected two winners for each of the writing category’s two age groups: a total of twelve winning pieces. The twelve writers of these pieces were invited to a Young Art Writers Workshop to celebrate their achievements, as well as participate in a writing workshop and zine-making workshop, where they produced a collaborative zine showcasing their writing.
Below are the twelve winning pieces for 2025 and the zine produced with the group at the Royal College of Art to showcase their work.
