Post-Colony: Artists and the Legacy of the British Empire

What is Post-Colony? Given the diverse, complex and uneven pattern of de-colonisation across the former British empire, how can we understand the term ‘post-colony’? Are there shared experiences and histories that characterise newly de-colonised nation states from the early days of de-colonisation to today? This panel discussion brought together Shuddhabrata Sengupta and Hou Hanru to explore these critical questions at a time when debates on empire and de-colonisation continue to shape our present and future.
